Yeah, most of you have probably given up on checking my blog. It won`t be as exciting as my Latin American trip, and not as fun as Stockholm, but it`s my new life... for now... and for how long? I don`t know. Life is taking unexpected turns.
So, the reason why I`m here. Well, still not ready to talk about it too much. But I`m being unexpectingly in touch with my feelings. I`ve quit walking around town like a zombie, I`ve started to shower again, I`m slowly getting off my chocolate-cigarette-wine-salad diet, only some days I get up before the birds start singing and I`m no longer scared for absolutely everything. I still cry on a daily basis and then sometimes even in public... but most of the day I`m in a fairly good mood. I`ve been getting to know people here* and I`m finding my space.
Montreal has a lot to offer. There are free concerts every weekend, acutally almost every day. It`s way too hot here most of the day and there are no Langholmen :-( only some public pools, which I visit with the girls once in a while and now I almost have a tan... iiieeh, cool huh?! The last few months I`ve had strange experiences with thunder and lightning storms, and Montreal has a storm almost every night. It spooks me, but I`m finding my peace with it. I live in a great part of town, close to the mont Royal where I go running a couple of days a week (if I wake up before it gets too hot). There are plenty of nice cafès and since I live next to they jewish quarters there are fresh bagles available any time of the day, or night. (by the way, seen more orthodox jews here than in Israel!) Nature?? ... well there are a lot of trees in Montreal but no real nature. The streets here are bohemic and chìc, but also a bit run down. It`s hard making a fashion statement here. Anything goes. Punkish, rockabilly, stuff that`s sooooo west canada 1994 (and I thought I would never have to be reminded of my trailor trash years); semi hippie, semi yuppie, semi sportif style. Anything goes.. even MY style!!! And here.. here it`s perfectly ok to have cleavage galore... but then of course I have no chest any more... :-(
I`m learning french. I`ve got a bike an I`ve got a really cute little apartment (but when I say little I mean TINY). The children are great. I try to see them as much as possible, and I live just a couple of blocks from them.
Most of you know all this already, it was just breaking the ice i suppose. Soon I`ll have photos to publish and ... I thought I would talk a little about Leif. But that feels like going a little too far for now.
clear clear clear my mind. other thing to talk about.
On monday Malin is coming, in september my sister might come with little Uma. I am very happy about this. Of course!!! Oh my god! Msn-ing with Nicklas, he`s coming to Toronto right after Malin`s been here. Staying at Soli`s place (for those of you who remember her...) but she`s away. Too bad, but we`ll have more opportunities.
ok, more of that later.
